Riverqueen

Riverqueen lies in the Bloemfontein District of South Africa,
about 2 hours 30 min south of Bloemfontein Airport by car.

Our thatched house lies directly on the shore of the Orange River
in an open mountain savanna. Along the Orange River we have
irrigated maize, wheat and sunflower fields – a magnet for all
winged game.

Our specialty on this range is winged game. We hunt a good goose
stock (Spoorwing Goose and Nile Goose) and many different
types of ducks. On the harvested fields we shoot Rock Pigeons and
Turtle Doves. Up to one thousand shots per day and per hunter
are possible.

Frankoline, Guinea Fowl and Quail are hunted with our Setters
and Retrievers on lead.

For three kilometers the farm borders on the Orange River, which
is an excellent fishing ground for fly fishing. The best-known fish
there is the Yellowfish which weighs up to 12 kg.

Moreover here on the stalk, the raised hide or on horse one can
hunt Springbuck, Blessbuck, Black Wildebeest, Mountain Reedbuck,
Steenbock, Duiker and Ostrich.

With our very good contacts to neighboring ranges, there is the
possibility to hunt within a diameter of 100 km. Our South African
professional hunters can organize safaris on all big game in
South Africa.
